A Christmas Present To You And Me

After a long and tiring journey from the city of Nazareth, Joseph and Mary finally reached Bethlehem, the city of David. The city of Bethlehem was so crowded at that time that there was no room for them in the inn.

They managed to find an empty place in a stable. That very same night, some shepherds were tending their sheep on the hills outside the city.

They were talking about the crowds that have come to Bethlehem.

Suddenly, a great light appeared and shone around them and they were very scared. And an angel said unto them, “ Fear not, for, behold, I bring you great tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; You shall find the baby wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.”

Then the sky was filled with a great choir of angels, praising God, and saying, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men".

Then the angels left, the beautiful light also disappeared. The shepherds decided to go to the city of Bethlehem to see the Saviour. The shepherds hurried to Bethlehem. Inside the Gate, they turned toward the inn and found Mary, and Joseph and the baby lying in a manger.

And when they had seen the baby Jesus, they made known abroad the saying which was told to them concerning this child.

At the same time, in a land far to the East, wise men talk about a strange thing that they had just seen. They saw a star in the sky which was so much brighter than all the rest. They believed that it was a sign from God that the Great King of the Jews has been born, so they decided to go to Jerusalem to find the King.
